Hello and welcome to our MOOAR Season 2 Launchpad Showcase Series!

The world of Web3 is constantly expanding, and new decentralized projects are being launched every day. These projects have the potential to change the way we interact with the world and with each other, and it’s super exciting to see.

In this showcase, we’re pumped to share the projects that are launching through our Season 2 Launchpad and explore what makes them stand out in the rapidly evolving world of web3 and beyond.

We have seven fantastic projects to explore this season; they’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of blockchain and crypto, and they are poised to make a big impact in the years to come.

For ease of exploration, we’ve divided the projects into two categories. This first series will focus on the first category — four projects focused on universe-building, community, and IP creation.

Let’s dig in!

LOONY FACE

That brings us to our first project — Loony Face NFT!

Loony Face is a powerful IP created by renowned urban artist Ouyang Ru, who has collaborated with the likes of Adidas, Starbucks, Universal Studios, Absolut Vodka, and more. Ru’s work includes various mediums, such as painting, sculpture, and installation art. His artwork is expressed by his signature colors (black, white, and yellow) along with the Loony Face IP image.

The Loony Face brand is known for key characteristics that are infused throughout Ru’s work. For one, he employs satire and sarcastic dark humor, which allows the audience to gain both enjoyment and insight from his style. The art is also symbolistic, pointing to absurdities in the modern world while integrating deep and meaningful messages. This creates a strong sense of community, calling to folks everywhere who resonate with Ru’s satirical yet insightful take on the world.

What’s more, Loony also integrates web3 with the real world, with its “sticker invasion” project that asks fans to print sticker sheets and stick them all over the world.

And, true to the universe building theme, Loony Face is also constructing its own Loony City. All holders of Loony Face NFTs are “legal citizens” and can act as both audience and actor, creating a fictional utopia by themselves and for themselves!

FSLands

Next up, we’ve got FSLand — a visionary web3 animated IP NFT collection (2,500) from Kiframe Studio!

Kiframe Studio is an innovative animation company composed of seasoned professionals who have previously served in Disney (China)’s animation development department. The company’s director was previously involved in storyboarding for Kung Fu Panda 3 and the creative and production of in-film advertising for Marvel movie “The Legend of Shang Qi and the Ten Rings.”

FSLands dubs its community “FSLanders,” and is set in a virtual world called Four Seasons Lands. Currently, only Spring land is currently accessible, but users will eventually be able to upgrade and evolve to be the King of Four Seasons Lands.

Holder benefits are myriad — NFTs may appear in future animations and become a member of FSLands DAO to vote for proposals of future lands, ecosystems, and more. They can also redeem special FSLands airdrop and physical gifts. Ultimately, the team hopes to foster a strong and vibrant community that will have the potential to transform the IP into a successful game!

CLUMSY BEARS

Hold onto your honey and greetings from the bear cave! Our next project is Clumsy Bears — 1,555 hand-drawn bears who are pioneering the importance of pushing boundaries ,being unique, and promoting a laid-back vibe.

The project is inspired by the culture of America’s West Coast, with a mission to create a strong consumer brand and take holders along for a mind-blowing and unforgettable ride.

Exclusive perks for Clumsy Bears holders include IP revenue share, alpha channel access, airdrops from partners, private events, limited edition merch and more. Their team consists of a talented group of builders with skills in community building, ecommerce and design, expertise in web3 research, team management, and consumer products.

DODOVERSE

And last but not least, we’ve got the DodoVerse — the “forever home” of 5,555 dodos in the metaverse.

The founder behind this project is talented architect turned visual artist Kimbol. Kimbol is also an experienced animator and is based in Shanghai, focused on 3D and animation, and also happens to be a skilled storyteller. He’s worked with brands such as Sketchers, among many others!

With DodoVerse, Kimbol is reviving the beloved Dodo on Ethereum with a unique web3 IP and brand; the Genesis collection is an all access pass to the DodoVerse. One unique spin that this project has is that it hopes to introduce web3 to African markets, starting with Mauritius!

Among its many plans are to use the mint fund to invest in digital infrastructures in Mauritius, which will bring additional revenue to be shared among holders. Further, users will mint a unique animated pfp, as well as directly invest in the DodoVerse to fulfill the “DODO VISION.” These assets are also easily translated into gamified experiences, and could even leverage tech like AR and ChatGPT to turn Dodos into sharable and interactive companions.

Next up, they may even explore NFE (non-fungible experiences) with holidays to Mauritius, web3 flight tickets, or even private jungle rave parties with famous DJs.

Closing Thoughts

We’re super excited to see projects that are pushing the boundaries of creativity and building unique, immersive virtual universes. These projects are rooted in community and IP creation, two key components to a successful project.
